1998 festival of swiss films

a critical portrait of switzerland through film: the idea was to present the swiss filmmaking of the last ten years through a variety of fiction, documentary, short, experimental and animation films. the first film festival of its kind in dharamshala (india).

in cooperation with the amnye machen institute (dharamshala), cinema xenix and pro helvetia (zurich).

1995 festival of buddhist films

as a contribution to the growing number of western films on tibet and tibetan buddhism, cinema xenix had been organizing a festival with asian films on BUDDHISM in 1994. cinemaya, a film quarterly from new delhi, took up the idea and with the support of cinema xenix, pro helvetia and the indian embassy (bern) it was possible to bring the festival to india (new delhi and calcutta) in 1995.

in cooperation with cinemaya (new delhi), cinema xenix and pro helvetia (zurich).

1992 festivals of tibetan films

as a result of the great success of the tibet film festivals in zurich in 1991 and 1992 (TIBET I and TIBET II) we brought this large collection of films on tibet to dharamshala (india), the heart of tibetan culture in exile.

in cooperation with bhuchung tsering (dharamshala) and cinema xenix (zurich).
