two paintings by kanwal krishna

kanwal krishna was an indian painter who accompanied gendun choephel on a trip to southern tibet in 1938. today, most of his paintings are in public or private collections in india, although a small number can be found in collections abroad.

angry monk productions has had the opportunity to view many of these paintings but we are still looking for two specific ones:

  • gendun choephel in sakya monastery, tibet, 1938 - the original aquarell was recently found in a private collection in germany
  • chang woman in lhasa, tibet, 1938

any information regarding the whereabouts of these paintings would be gratefully appreciated.
